Ingredients

  • 4 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • ½ pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup buttermilk, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 (8 1/2 by 4 1/2 by 2 1/2-inch) loaf pans. Line the bottoms with parchment paper.
