Pound Cake with Lemon-Basil Glaze

Ingredients

• ¼ cup half-and-half
• Dash of salt
• 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
• 10 tablespoon butter, softened and divided
• 3 large egg whites
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• Cake:
