Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 (1/2-inch-thick) slices pound cake
  • 1 (1-pint) container vanilla ice cream
  • 1/3 cup dry red wine
  • 1/3 cup dry red wine
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar

    • 1 ½ pints strawberries, quartered
    • 4 (1/2-inch-thick) slices pound cake
    • 1 (1-pint) container vanilla ice cream
    • 1 ½ pints strawberries, quartered
    • 1/3 cup sugar

1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves; continue to boil 6 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 1/3 cup. 2.
