Pride of Iowa Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 Eggs, beaten
• 1 teaspoon(s) soda
• 2 cup(s) flour
• ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
• 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
• 1 cup(s) Coconut
• 1 cup(s) Brown Sugar
• + 5 more ingredients
• • 1 cup(s) white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 cup(s) oleo
  • 3 cup(s) quick oatmeal
  • ½ cup(s) chopped nuts

Blend sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla, coconut, oats and nuts. Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake 375° until light brown, about 8 minutes.
