Puff Pastry Galettes with Red Wine Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled, large berries quartered or halved
  • 2 cups dry red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon or Merlot
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from one 17 ¼-ounce package), thawed
  • 1 large egg yolk, lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for garnish (optional)
    • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
