Pumpkin-Apple Muffins

Ingredients

• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup butter or margarine, melted
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
• 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• + 5 more ingredients
• • 1 ²/₃ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.Combine pumpkin, butter, and eggs, and add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
