Pumpkin Patch Torte Recipe

Ingredients

  • Candy pumpkins
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

    • 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
    • FROSTING:
    • 1 drop yellow food coloring
    • 3 drops green food coloring
    • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
    • 2 egg whites
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ cup canola oil
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 4 eggs

1. Line a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with waxed paper; grease the paper. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin, sugars, eggs and oil until well blended.
