Pumpkin-Spiced Profiteroles With Warm Cranberry Compote

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter or margarine, cut up
  • 1 quart vanilla bean ice cream
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • Warm Cranberry Compote
    • Garnish: fresh mint sprigs
    • ½ cup sifted powdered sugar

Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat; reduce heat to low.
