Pumpkin-Walnut Bread

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1 cup canned pure pumpkin
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
    • ½ cup whole milk
    • ½ cup sour cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 cups all purpose flour

1. Position rack in center of oven; preheat to 325°F. Butter 9x5x3-inch metal loaf pan. Sift first 7 ingredients into medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat butter in large bowl until light.
