Quick Wheat Baguettes

Ingredients

  • Cornmeal, for dusting (optional)
  • 3 cups warm water, divided
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 package) yeast
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp vital wheat gluten*
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Oil, for coating bowl
