Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/16 teaspoon raspberry extract (preferably McCormick brand)
  • 1 gallon-size sealable plastic bag (not pleated)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 6 ounces sliced blanched almonds (not slivered)
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • ¾ teaspoon salt
    • 3 ounces fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (60 to 64% cacao)
    • 3 large egg whites
    • Red or pink food coloring
