Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 5/6 cup sugar
  • 1 ¾ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup water
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • ½ cup whole milk
    • 1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
    • 2 cups fresh rhubarb stalks
    • 1 large egg
    • ½ cup unsalted butter

Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 400°F. Butter an 8-inch square glass or ceramic baking dish.
