  • ¾ cup short-grain or medium-grain rice
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 16-ounce package frozen pitted cherries
  • 19 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 ¾ cups whole milk
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ cup sliced almonds
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Combine milk, 5 tablespoons sugar and rice in heavy medium saucepan. Scrape in seeds from vanilla bean; add bean and bring to boil.
