Ingredients

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup currants
  • 1/3 cup arborio rice
  • 1 vanilla bean, split, seeds scraped and reserved (or 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract)
  • 1 fresh bay leaf or 2 dried
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup golden raisins
    • 3-½ cups milk

Heat the oven to 350°F and butter a shallow 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, milk, bay leaf, salt, and sugar.
