Roasted Garlic-Balsamic Steak Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup raisins
  • ¾ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup roasted garlic paste from jar
  • 1 garlic clove
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons shallots
    • 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 ½ tablespoons apple jelly or red currant jelly
    • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
    • 3 large plum tomatoes
    • 1 ½ cups water
    • 2 tablespoons honey

Combine 1 1/2 cups warm water and raisins in medium bowl; let stand until raisins are soft, at least 15 minutes and up to 1 hour. Mix vinegar and shallots in small bowl; let stand 15 minutes.
