Roasted Spiced Pears and Figs with Almonds
Ingredients
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- 4 firm-ripe pears (preferably Bartlett)
- ½ pound dried figs (as soft as possible)
- 1 vanilla bean
