Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Paste food coloring, assorted colors
  • 1 (16-ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted

Combine egg whites (at room temperature) and cream of tartar in a mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until frothy. Add half of sugar, mixing well.
