Rum-Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum
  • 1 ¼ cups whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 cups sugar
