Sausage and Ricotta Ravioli with Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 large white onion, quartered
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, or more as needed
  • 5 (3.5 ounce) links Italian sausage links, casings removed
  • 2 ½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • + 9 more ingredients

    • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1/3 cup pine nuts
    • 2 cups chopped fresh basil
    • 5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    • 1 dash balsamic vinegar
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • salt and pepper to taste
