Seared Halibut With Herbed Tomato Sauce

  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1 tablespoon drained capers
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (14.5-oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 4 (6-oz.) halibut fillets (1/2-inch thick)*

1. Pat fish dry with paper towels. Season fish with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
