Simple Strawberry Shortcake


  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the whipped cream)
  • 1 cup Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 fresh strawberries, stems removed and cut into quarters
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 Organic Valley Large Egg, lightly beaten
  • 2⁄3 cup Organic Valley Half & Half
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 4 tablespoons Organic Valley European-style Cultured Butter (cold)
    • 2 tablespoons sugar (can substitute sucanat)
    • 3 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour (can substitute spelt flour)
