Ingredients

  • 1 (2 1/2 lb.) piece flat-cut brisket, trimmed
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar

Place tomatoes, onion, garlic, raisins (if using), brown sugar and lemon juice in a slow cooker and stir to combine. Sprinkle brisket with 1 1/2 tsp. salt and season with pepper.
