Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cupsUnbleached all-purpose flour

  • 1 cupunsalted butter; (2-sticks) - softened but still firm
  • ½ cupGranulated sugar
  • 1 cuplight brown sugar; - firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoonsPure vanilla extract

    • 2 largeEggs; - cold, straight from the refrigerator
    • 1 12-oz packagesemi-sweet chocolate chips; - frozen, straight from the freezer (I use Ghirardelli)
