Sour Cream Potato Casserole 2


  • salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup(s) chopped green onions
  • 2 cup(s) regular sour cream
  • ¼ cup(s) butter, melted
  • 2 cup(s) shredded mild or sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 potatoes, preference new red potatoes (medium)
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter, cut into small pieces

Boil (do not overcook) potatoes. Cool and coarsely grate. Add melted butter, cheese, sour cream, onions, salt, and pepper. Pour into greased rectangular baking dish. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or longer if the casserole has been chilled.
