  • ½ cup(s) buttermilk
  • ¾ cup(s) Sourdough starter (at room temperature)
  • ¼ cup(s) shortening
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 2 cup(s) self-rising flour

Combine flour and baking soda in a non-metal bowl, stir well. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
