Spiced Apple Preserves


  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon citric acid
  • 2 tablespoons and ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 pounds apples (use something tart and crisp)
