Spiced Apple Preserves
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon citric acid
- 2 tablespoons and ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 3 pounds apples (use something tart and crisp)
