Spiced Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup onion

Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add cinnamon and cloves and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
