Steak Bagel Sandwiches

Ingredients

• ¹/₃ cup vegetable oil
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 6 bagels, sliced and toasted
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
• 2 large onions, sliced and separated into rings
