Steamed Artichokes with Lemon Dipping Butter
- 2 tsp. mixed pickling spice
- 4 large fresh whole artichokes
- 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice; more to taste
- ½ lemon
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt; more to taste
