Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. mixed pickling spice
  • 4 large fresh whole artichokes
  • 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice; more to taste
  • ½ lemon
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp. kosher salt; more to taste
