  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 ¼ cups 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 1 (1-ounce) package fresh mint
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups sugar, divided
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped

Combine half-and-half and milk in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and egg yolks; beat with a mixer at high speed until thick and pale.
