Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup plain yellow cornmeal
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 1 (16-oz.) container fresh strawberries, cut in half
    • 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • Garnishes: fresh mint sprigs, sweetened whipped cream
    • 1 tablespoon orange marmalade
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 cups heavy cream
