Sugar Cream Pie 5


  • Cinnamon or nutmeg
  • 1 cup(s) Sugar
  • ¼ cup(s) cornstarch
  • 2 ¼ cup(s) milk
  • 1 stick(s) butter or margarine (½ cup stick)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla

In a heavy saucepan on low heat, stir together sugar, cornstarch, milk, butter and salt in order given. Cook and stir constantly until thickened. Stir in vanilla and pour into baked pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
