Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 jalapeño chili, seeded and minced
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cornmeal
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 2 large eggs
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • 3 tablespoons chopped chives
    • 4 ounces Andouille sausage, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 cup grated Cheddar

Preheat oven to 425°F. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk buttermilk and eggs. Stir cheese, sausage, jalapeño, chives and corn into buttermilk mixture.
