Swedish Pecans


  • 1 pound(s) pecans halves
  • ¼ cup(s) butter
  • 1 cup(s) Sugar
  • 2 egg whites

Make a meringue of egg whites and sugar, by beating until stiff. Coat pecans with meringue as evenly as possible. Melt butter in shallow 9 X 13 baking dish and spread nuts. Bake at 275° to 300° for 40 minutes. Turn and separate a few times during baking.
