  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 2 pounds cipollini onions
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup raisins
    • ½ cup hot water
    • 1 tablespoon sugar

Place raisins in a bowl; cover with 1/2 cup hot water. Let stand 30 minutes or until plump. Drain. Trim top and root end of onions. Cook onions in boiling water 2 minutes. Drain. Cool and peel.
