Sweet-and-Sour Radicchio

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 2 large heads of radicchio (about 1 1/2 pounds)
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 large onion

Melt butter with oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and sugar. Sauté until onion is lightly browned, about 7 minutes. Add vinegar; stir to blend.
