Sweet and Sour Slaw

Ingredients

  • ½ cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 4 cups very thinly sliced red cabbage
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 serrano chile, seeded and finely chopped
  • 4 cups very thinly sliced green cabbage
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • ½ cup white wine vinegar

Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over low heat 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring with a whisk. Chill.

Combine vinegar mixture, cabbages, onion, salt, and chile. Cover and chill. Toss gently before serving.
