Sweet Potato Scones

Ingredients

  • 1 small sweet potato, cut in small chunks
  • 225 g (8 oz) unbleached plain flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp fine sea salt
  • 60 g (2 oz) cold unsalted butter, cut in 6 pieces
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 250 ml (8 fl oz) buttermilk
    • 2 tbsp wild-blossom honey
