TEA ROOM SALAD

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce(s) whipped topping
  • 2 cup(s) buttermilk
  • 1 package(s) gelatin (lime, orange, or strawberry) (6 ounce pkg)
  • ½ cup(s) sugar
  • 1 can(s) crushed pineapple (20 ounce can)
  • Chopped nuts - optional

In a 3 quart saucepan, combine crushed pineapple and sugar. Bring to a boil. Add gelatin and mix well. Remove from heat. Stir in buttermilk and then fold in whipped topping. Blend well. Pour in an 11" x 7" dish. May sprinkle nuts over top. Chill overnight.
