Tender Bread Pudding Recipe


  • ½ cup apricot preserves
  • 8 slices soft thin white sandwich bread (such as Wonder), crusts cut off
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon coarse (kosher) salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups half and half
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup dark raisins
    • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Place dish in large roasting pan.
