Ingredients

  • 1 1/4-ounce package active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sugar
  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

In a food processor pulse together flour, sugar, and table salt several times to combine well. In a small bowl whisk together water, yeast, and butter or oil.
