Texas Christmas Cake


  • 1 lb golden raisins
  • 1 c whiskey
  • 2 c (4 sticks) butter, softened
  • 2 c sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 4 c cake flour
  • 1 T baking powder
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1 lb pecans, chopped
    • 6 egg whites
    • Whiskey
