Texas Pecan and Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecan pieces
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 cup all purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • ¾ cup light corn syrup

Combine first 4 ingredients in processor. Using on/off turns, process until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Drizzle 2 tablespoons ice water over mixture.
