Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup dark corn syrup or molasses
  • 1 ½ cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 8 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons stick margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup water

Wash and dry apples; remove stems. Insert wooden sticks into the stem end of each apple; set aside. Line a baking sheet with foil. Combine sugar and remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan.
