Ingredients

  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 green tomato, seeded and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup fat-free milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground mace
  • + 13 more ingredients
    • 2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
    • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • Cooking spray
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 2 large egg yolks
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
    • ½ cup molasses
    • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Place first 3 ingredients in a 9-inch round cake pan coated with cooking spray. Place pan over medium-low heat until sugar and butter melt, stirring frequently.
