Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 2/3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 11/12 cups sugar
  • + 15 more ingredients
    • 6 tablespoons sour cream
    • 1 ½ cups sugar
    • 2 ¾ cups cake flour
    • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
    • 9 large egg yolks
    • 3 tablespoons grated orange peel
    • 10 ounces cream cheese
    • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
    • 6 large egg whites
    • 4 large egg yolks
    • 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
    • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
    • ¾ cup unsalted butter
    • 9 tablespoons whole milk

Place lemon juice in small bowl or custard cup. Sprinkle gelatin over. Let stand 15 minutes. Whisk sugar, orange juice, yolks, orange peel, and lemon peel in heavy large saucepan to blend.
