Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons extravirgin olive oil
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm fat-free milk (100° to 110°)
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup yellow cornmeal
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (about 12 1/3 ounces)
    • 1 tablespoon water
    • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
    • 1 package dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
    • ¾ teaspoon salt

Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk in a bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in olive oil. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
