Upside-Down Apple Polenta Cake

Ingredients

• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ¾ cup buttermilk
• ½ cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 10 tablespoon unsalted butter
• ²/₃ cup brown sugar
