Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ Golden Delicious apple (about 3/4 cup)
  • 2 8-ounce Golden Delicious apples
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 2/3 cup baker's sugar (superfine sugar) or regular sugar
    • ¾ teaspoon salt
    • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/3 cup butterscotch morsels
