Vanilla Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (9 inch) baked pie crusts (pastry or graham cracker)

    • 3 egg whites
    • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
    • ½ tablespoon vanilla
    • 6 tablespoons sugar
